Picked up this new pedal today: the STORM V2 by SOLO DALLAS. All-analog circuitry to replicate the SCHAFFER-VEGA wireless transmitter voicing for Angus Young. I don't have an amp at home at the moment, so I'm giving it to a good friend to try it out.

Interesting pedal Wyn. I see it kept the limiter circuit of the big box Schaffer compared to the Classic model.

You don't have an amp at home? Neighbours giving you trouble again? ;):D

I have some amps in storage. The only amp I ever used at home was the VOX AC4TV. I had it on the 1/4 watt setting and I still got complaints from next door.

Sounds like your neighbors need to experience "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution" out of a cranked Marshall, so the 1/4 Watt Vox would be a whisper in comparison. :)

My friend brought the pedal back today, he's had it for a week to play with.
The verdict: He loves it, says it gives him the "Back in Black" guitar sound. I think he's going to order one for himself.

I don't have access to a real amp at the moment, that's why I let my friend try it out. He's a really good player and I trust his judgement. He liked it so much he's going to buy one himself. (see post above yours)

That's really cool Audept, have always wondered if this pedal did Angus' sound justice, would be a 'must have' for any Angus/AC DC fan/tribute band.

Cool, i’d like to hear what it does in a non Angus situation too.
I like what i hear on the videos where the compression gives that kind of sag like a rectifier tube. At least i think that’s what i’m hearing!!

You need to move up my way Audept; I back onto the bush ;-) In my case, it's my kids who will complain!
