Alright, so after some careful thought from all of your kind suggestions, one thing stood out clear: I'm a broke kid. So, with a slightly heavy heart, I must say that I purchased an Orange Micro Dark with matching cab. I'm completely prepared for the weirdness... This will go just great. Perhaps a new genre, "metalbilly" can be created.

There were a lot of us that were "broke" kids. Now, I'm a broke retiree. Being broke makes that guitar and amp just so much more dear to you. Enjoy it!

Being not broke ain't necessarily all it's cracked up to be. A broader choice does not always make people happier with their purchases. I'm not a much better guitar player for all the gear I've bought and sold over the years. :( (OTOH I have had a lot of fun doing all that buying, selling, building, designing, researching, negotiating, arguing, etc ..., which to me is as valuable.)

I will definitely take a picture when it gets here. I bought it off of Reverb, so it should take a couple of days.

Cool! I like the look of the black tolex. The Orange ones are cool too but I think the black looks better

I agree the orange colored ones are classic, but... uh... they're very orange. And the head was black, so I figured they'd match.

It actually sounds pretty nice. It has a shape knob, and if I turn it to the left I get a sorta scooped Fender-y sound, and it does pretty well in imitating a normal Fender. To the right is the English fat sound, you know, the Orange/Vox distortion. It's surprisingly versatile.
