Awesome reply! Yes, I am looking at the Nanaimo 6120. Based on your information, it would appear to be current spec?? The seller has been most helpful.
Well, the tuners look like preFMIC (they pegs look like Grover Rotomatics) but you need to see if they have the G logo to know for sure.

Now that is one pretty guitar. The price, especially if you convert to US dollars is really not all that bad (though my perspective is skewed as I have not bought a guitar in 10 years and 10 years ago, Gretschs were cheap!)

You might want to ask if they could take pics of the pickup poles to see if they are ceramic or HS Filtertrons. If you want to play Chet style music, HS Filtertrons would be preferable but not necessarily a deal breaker.

If you want to guarantee a sure sale, ask them to take off a pickup and look inside at the pots and the number of plies with an assurance that if you like the answer, you'll buy it (because it will be a hassle to do this). You can explain to them the preFMIC concerns.

If I were a serious client with cash in hand in a shop, I would expect the sellers to take the time to consider my demands.

I have all the documents, stickers, etc. for all my guitars. But this reminded me that one of the guitars came with a surprise... the guitar technician (who checked the guitar at the factory) had taken a picture of the guitar from his own desk. He had put a polaroid picture in the bag as a surprise.

Thx! The seller sent close-ups of the pickups and they are consistent with alnico magnets. Also the serial number starts with JT
