A new guitar? All you need is love!
Awesome. The fingerboard seems very dark, is it ebony?
Congrats! I love Jets.
Just pretend it’s an abbreviation for Gretsch by dropping the middle letters.
Congrats on that fine looking tribute.
I don’t think The Beatles & Yogi necessarily go together though.
Good Heavens! That guitar looks great!
Congrats on the guitar.
And everybody should know that GH stands for Gibby Haynes!
I had to look up the story -- I'm such a non-fan that I know very little. It's funny how nobody here ever mentions that story. I'll have to bring it up and see what happens.
I wouldn’t hold it against the guitar. Its a sharp guitar.
Gabby Hayes was an underrated guitar player!
I’m off topic here, but just one clarification:
No surprise that it isn’t a popular topic in Fairfield.
Didn’t mean to rain on your parade.
Beatles caught onto the gimmick a little late.
Btw, there is another detail retelling by Jennifer Boyd, Patty Boyd’s (Layla’s?) sister & Mick Fleetwood’s wife at one time, who went to India with the troop. Its a bit too much of a “chick” book for me, if that’s acceptable to say. I never made it through the whole book, but would be interesting to a fan.
I have no problem with the Beatles other than today, some of their music feels syrupy, especially before Abbey Road. Still, in small doses remains feelgood music. I wonder if that’s how some feel about older 1950’s rock.
I Don’t Believe… in Elvis.
I actually enjoy the buggles very much
Nice guitar! I love it, yeah, yeah, yeah!
Congrats on the new 6129T - Gorgeous Honey, Tavo!
Oh, I hold NOTHING against that guitar. When I was considering which Gretsch to get for myself, that was on the first run to be considered. It was edged out by the 6128-T-57 which was ultimately edged out by the Country Club.
And no rain on my parade. I live here but it's not my movement. It's like anything else as far as I can see -- there's an eclectic mix of fundamentalist and pragmatist, those who deny and those who accept, and any other myriad applicable descriptor.
And now I'm back off topic. The guitar is super cool and I'm jealous (how unevolved ... doh, there I go again).
Ya beat me to it!!
No presumptions here, or checking other ppl’s P’s & Q’s.
I go off topic quite freely.
I was trying to convey that I am not griping, rather simply making conversation. Didn’t want this to turn into a “I really loathe ——“ thread on my contribution.
Besides, I got to make a reference to Lennon’s post-Beatles lyric.
I've been around here long enough to know it stands for Guitar Hoarder.
Actually, it does stand for George Harrison...that is a sweet guitar, enjoy it!
