I love relics too. I have a few over here. Off to go see your thread…….!I absolutely love the look of that. As much as I'm a huge relic fan (had a relic NGD today) this is very aesthetically pleasing.
Enjoy the heck out of it! That's a proper stage guitar.

Its hard to put it into words. Its just a feel thing. It simply feels RIGHT. It’s like anything that could inhibit you on a Strat has been removed or improved, and all thats left is an effortless playing experience that inspires you to bring it. I really don’t know how to say it better than that. And the voicing of the pickups is absolutely delicious. The bloom and the warmth are impressive.HNGD, Tony!
I keep hoping that I can find a Silver Sky somewhere local. I'd really love to play one and see what it was that made you go from Fender to PRS.
Totally agree, well I have only had the pleasure of playing the SE version but man is that a fantastic guitar for the money, I am not a strat guy but I have come very close to buying one of them on mutiple occasions, I could only imagine the core version would be even more awesome. Also - I know this is a love or hate guitar. But cmon…the birds on a Strat? Too beautiful. Plus the warm vintage tones outta these things……and the PERFECT doggone neck and fretwork…..it rings like a bell and is perfectly in tune any and everywhere on the neck. And maybe the 3 per side headstock isn’t traditional, but it’s sure awesome what it does to the string tension. Say what you will, John Mayer and PRS collab’d to create what is arguably the best modern incarnation of the S-Style imo.
