I had the earlier Strat version.

What is the difference with the new Player versions?

Very cool! So this is the Player series version and not the original? I’d love to see a demo, please . :)

Yes, and it’s a blast to play! Neck like a nice vintage Tele(albeit with a flatter radius), light as a feather (4.5 lbs), and actually really sounds nice plugged in. It’s SO comfortable that even if it wasn’t useful for live etc, I’d keep it. It’s an amazing couch guitar that is louder than I expected acoustically. Really fun!

Congrats! They got those in at my local Fender/Gretsch dealer, and I’m eager to get over there and try them out.

Congrats on the new Acoustisonic, Tony!

I haven't been around here much lately, so may I ask if the PRS finally came in, too?

They are great couch guitars and you are correct, surprisingly loud unplugged volume.

  18. A few extra electric mixes, a few less acoustic blends. 3 way switch instead of 5, and it takes a 9 volt in the back instead of a rechargeable built in. If they play as easy as the 2000 dollar ones, these should fly off the shelves. Trick was getting frets past 12 to play as low as the first 5 frets. Once it was there its like playing air.
