Thanks so much everyone! I love it. I can’t wait for the pickup to be installed so I can gig it. Such a comfortable size.

Personally my favorite from their lineup - play in good health and enjoy it!

Made the #1 most important change on all my acoustics today. Solid brass end pins. Huuuge sonic difference every time!

    Front porch pickin tonight!

Brass pins make it brighter, or...?... what's your take?

Brighter, louder, MORE. I have a buddy who recently acquired a very nice Huss & Dalton. Asked me for setup tips. I said “swap those pins for solid brass and just see what you think”. He called me up all “WOW man……that’s the best low dollar flex ever!”. And when it comes to acoustics…..its true. :)

My 000-18GE ruined me for all other guitars for over ten years. I virtually didn't touch anything else for over ten years! It still gets better than 90% of my time when I want to grab a guitar. I can't wait to see what it does for you.

I have eyeballed the liquid metal Martin pins but I hate to mess with a good thing.

Great mod, Tony. The plastic end pins on Martins are like the rattlematic bridges on Pro line Gretsches - they need to leave us one thing to change and make it "yours".

I like em, and I just could not accept plastic pins on such a nice acoustic, it's sacrilegious. They are over priced but meh.

Odd, mine aren't plastic, I think they're ebony

I probably would not have replaced mine if they were ebony.

Martin make some of the best acoustic guitars ever. I love them and used to own a 00-15M. Wish I still had it but sold it to buy a Gretsch, so that was OK.
    CONGRATS!

That's kind of where I'm at. If I love the tone of the guitar already (why else would I have bought it?), why mess with the pins? I think I even have a set of brass pins around here somewhere... But then also- what about the taper? I'm sure everyone makes pins that have a taper for the famous Martin guitars, but what if someone has a lesser-known model? I've run into this issue in the past, with my Walden.. tried several different sets of pins, but none would fit. I gave up and put the originals back in.

HOWEVER... that Walden, which has a cedar top, could use a little more clarity and volume.... brass pins (or the Martin Liquid metal ones), may be just the ticket.... hmm....

I'm a finger picker Andrew and these were pretty much made for fingerstyle - you'd love it
