I don't use the dice on my Setzer Smoke '59 either. I can't recall anybody using the dice. For me, it's more about laziness than style. I think the dice would look OK. But I think they'd be clumsy to adjust.

I just use master volume and pickup Switch 98% of the time so i don't mind having dice knobs

I paid $2,400 for a 2018 (last summer).
The local seller had it up for $2,750 for several months. I patiently waited and when the price dropped, I swooped in with cash and picked it up… only ten minutes from home! :D

I believe the 2020 and newer models
have either a 12” radius or a compound radius. Where mine has a 9.5” or 9”.

Nice... I admit to looking at one of those myself.
As far as the rings go, haven't seen them in aluminum, but my local metal shop has textured plate in a number of different textures. Like:

Wouldn't be a difficult project.

…and that included the dice and metal
