I played this in the store and just loved it. It has that 330/ Casino vibe. Built superbly, plays like butter and just feels like it has songs in it. Oh and it's so light!

Eastman T64/V-T Antique Violin Varnish, P90.

    12 inch radius ebony board.
    SD Dog ear P90s.

    I am blown away.

You really can't.. into a Vox tonight and it was doing the mid-era Beatles thing very well indeed.

I'm impressed... but no jack plate..

Played it a couple years ago at great music shop in NYC. I loved it but new gear wasn't aligning with the wallet then. I still have my eye out for it though. Congrats!!!!

I'd definitely recommend one. I've played it a good few hours today and it's just great. It's the easiest playing guitar I've ever tried. Something about the smooth ebony board and the quailty of frets makes it a breeze to play.

The only fault with it is some varnish on the F-hole binding. Slightly annoying but I'm sure as the varnish finish wears down it'll be part of the character.

It feels like a special guitar.. a bit different, but also really familiar.

Congrats on a very nice looking guitar. Looks very similar to my ES-330TDC, bought new in 1966.
I'm sure it sounds great and you are enjoying the playing.

  11. This is another GAS thread, as in its creating gas.

I love the violin finish on Eastman guitars. I'm always on the lookout for one.

Good luck! Playing one is the ultimate deal-maker. I loved my 335 but it didn't play anywhere near as good as this Eastman does.

Looks beautiful with the bigsby. Did you find yours sounds great acoustically too?

I'm tempted to ditch my Gibson 335 and pick up the Eastman verison instead and get some cash back. They have one where I got this from.
