As some here know last year I bought a 2002 cherry 335..which was good. It had a pretty maxxed truss-rod though, which I didn't spot on purchase, and began causing me (probably needlessly) some aniexty. It just played on my mind. So I sold it.. and didn't lose any money. Recently I've been hunting again. I bought an Epiphone inspired by figured 335 but the fretwork was sooo bad it got sent back by the shop. Unsaveable they said. So I continued hunting and fell in love with a Tokai UES178 335 copy. Beautiful Guitar.. but the same price as the cheapest new Gibson 335. I then found the real deal Gibson 335 Figured Iced Tea.. It was flawless in the shop, I couldnt find a mark or binding issue or fret problem anywhere. I looked hard but it was pristine. Zero quailty or playability issues. It was just perfect. The price was high but everything about it felt right. I was cheeky and somehow managed to negotiate £500 off and got them to do a full pro set up too. Here it is.. forgive the pickguard plastic and poor lighting. 2021 Gibson ES-335 Figured Iced Tea. I have found the one.
