Yeah, I hear that a lot. I guess I'm one of the few that like some gold hardware. Most of my guitars (15 total) are the basic chrome, but I do have one Taylor with gold tuners, and a Deluxe Players Strat, an Ibanez AM93, and a 5420 with gold hardware. The Taylor, Strat and the Am93 were guitar that I fell in love with because they were great sounding guitars. It just so happened that they had gold hardware. The 5420 was a Snow Crest White with gold hardware, and the combination was more than I could resist.

well, it could be tuned that way, sure. but it’s a bass, tuned E-e, and that’s how i’m leaving it. i have far more need for a bass than a baritone.
