DEF3E3E4-9F3A-4F19-B90F-B4CE95AF7320.jpeg Just arrived this morning, looks great, once set up with heavy strings I think it’ll play well. I’d already planned some mods before I bought it - bar bridge, b3 and probably Guild Dynasonics.
I‘ve done a bit of measuring and it’s borderline but I think the bar bridge and b3 will work, bridge base will need to be pretty thin but it’s only to cover the tuneomatic holes really. Annoyingly the batteries in my digital callipers and scale are dead, it’s supposed to be 8.5lb and it feels about that. The pickups are pretty decent sounding, a bit too hot for my tastes but certainly not bad. If I were sticking with P90s I wouldn’t feel the need to change them. Sound like alnico 5 magnets. Three piece back, a little flame in part, match is OK. Nice colour.

Bridge DC resistance is approx 8.7k, neck 7.5k.
Bridge height with a medium action and straight neck is approx 16mm to the top of the G saddle.
String angle from over the bridge to the top of the Bigsby anchor bar is approx 6 degrees.
Neck angle is a bit tricky to measure because of lacquer build up around the joint, I’d say it’s between 4.5 and 5 degrees.
Can‘t measure the neck depth at the minute but it’s not what I’d call thin, more medium C, very slightly smaller than my G5422, I can’t do skinny necks and it’s fine for me.

Ive got a V cut B3, bar bridge and Dynasonic on the way, so we’ll see if it works next week.

That’s the exact one that caught my eye.

Congrats! Thanks for measuring the pickups. That confirms they're a bit different than the P90s in my G5627T P-90. Both pickups in that guitar measure in the low 8k range

I like them to be fair, but I’ve already got a great p90 guitar (Epiphone Wilshire reissue with a bridge Seymour Duncan Antiquity). I’ve played it a lot today after a quick set up, still with the stock strings and it’s settling in. I’m liking it, it’s not the most Gretschy guitar but it’s got a nice character. And I think it looks fantastic. Slight hint of green in the off white/cream top to my eyes, contrasts well with the white binding.

Just took a close look at the pics. Looks like you got a real winner with great dark consistent color on the fretboard and sexy wood figure on the back.

Score!

Please entertain us with a full frontal and rear shot.
Filthy! 🤪
I think I’ll hold off on the full shots til I’ve got the new bits on it. I got excited tonight and put 12s on it and removed the tension roller on the Bigsby - I wasn’t going to restring til up put the new bits on but couldn’t wait. The break angle is very shallow, but it works. Strings stay put even with my heavy right hand and it stays in tune much better. Tweaked the pickups a bit and it sounds more Gretschy too. Still more Neil Young than George Harrison, but that’s no bad thing to me 👍

Best color of this batch so far if you ask me. Looks really rad.
Too bad I already have a vintage white guitar with P90s that I love, but I’m really tempted. Like you I already have all the parts for a twangy make up (Dynas, Bigsby bridge wiith base, G tailpiece) so I’m gassing.
Unfortunately my idea of a Jet guitar it’s a black guitar, but I could wait for some new color.
