So I joined this forum to garner info before purchasing my 1st Gretsch, with plans to buy one soon after.
Then life happened. That was over a year ago. Finally got some stress and unneeded debt behind me
and purchased the first new guitar I've had in a while today. My first Gretsch!

Went into my local GC to buy strings. Right when I walked in an employee was pulling this out of a new box to put on display. I asked if I could give it a spin. He said it had just arrived and was a brand new color and the model is exclusive to GC/MF as I'm sure most here know. NO ONE had touched it yet! Well, after 20-30 mins of playing it, there was NO WAY I was leaving it there!
I couldn't get them to budge a cent off of it, and I wanted it bad. I'm very happy so far for $600 though. I've found one single minor flaw on it so far, and that's just a tiny bit of overspray inside the lower bout 'cat-eye' hole. Do wish it came with a case, but I guess that's asking a little much these days. Extremely nice guitar here however.
Plays like butter already and I haven't done a thing to it except stretch the strings so far. The setup out of the box is fairly close to my liking and the nut appears to be properly cut. Bigsby is creaking a fair amount though. These pickups aren't bad sounding at all, but the jury's still out right now on that for me. They sound great with dirt, but for clean playing, they're lacking a little something to me; but overall, for now, it works.

G-arrow knobs a must in near future.

Also, I'm assuming a 335 sized case will fit this? Anyone know?

Sorry for the crappy iPhone pics that do it no justice. This is a beautiful color in person.

I knew GC had that exclusive model but that’s the first I’ve seen in that color. Looks great and enjoy the new Gretsch!

I love these in Georgia Green, but I think I like this color better! Kinda curious now how it would look in Casino Gold, Fairlane Blue, and CAR.

That is a great guitar. I have one in the previous green color. I always wanted a 3 pu Gretsch and I couldn't resist a MF sale one day. With the PU switching you can get a lot of different sounds. The build and finish is great for the money. I changed my strings to run over the bigsby tension bar (rather than under) - that helped with the bigsby action

    Congrats again!

Could be “Sahara Metallic”? Looks real close to the new PE Duo Jet and my favorite Gretsch color outside of orange and silver sparkle: Jaguar Tan.

I've been wondering how the two pickup switches select from the 3 pickups, could you explain? And does it quack, like pos 2 and 4 on a Strat???

Well you got your new strings. :D
Congrats on a fine new Gretsch, they are addicting though.
Maybe I need a 3 pickup Gretsch here too. Haven't bought a guitar in about a month.

Still haven’t quite got the switching setup in my head yet, but I’ll let you know.
LOTS of cool tones in this configuration that’s for sure.

Yes, plus you get the middle pu alone and all three pickups.
