ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Seymour Duncan in Blue Natural Fade
Wow wow wow! This is one of those better than I was expecting guitars. I had tried out a similar model from ESP at a shop, but had to mail-order this one.
Why I got it:
-Birthday guitar
-Extra Jumbo stainless steel frets (woohoo!)
-Scored a deal
-24.75” scale
-Seymour Duncan pickups
-Made in Korea (some are Indonesian)
-Stellar reviews
What I like about it:
-Extra Jumbo stainless steel frets (again, woohoo!) I can bend notes like Superman does railroad tracks.
-The design and color are unique
-Incredible sustain, seriously, this axe does some trippy “sympathetic” string reverberations.
-The Duncan pickups are geared towards shred-metal; Sentient (bridge) Pegasus (neck). Both will coil split.
-Dark hardware, and it’s solid…no rattles.
-13.8” radius (350mm)
-Build quality

What I don’t like:
-Tone knob has slight play in it. Probably fixable.
I got it from a small shop and they threw in a gig bag and a full set up. Stoked!
