G6128T '57 Duo Jet with TV Jones T-Armond Dynasonics. Beautiful sound and playability except for the antique bridge which makes palm muting difficult if not impossible. This baby replaces my Electromatic G5238T Pro Jet with P90s which I gave to a buddy...

    Beauty! Congrats.

Get rid of the Melita bridge for the reasons you mention and you’ll be happier. Compton, Tru Arc, and others are much better.

A gold bar bridge would look killer on that glam machine

    A real beaut, congrats!

Too bad no more aftermarket Melita bridges, I love the original look. If you want to keep it, get some pan head screws to replace the thumb screws. I don't know if Billy Zoom still has a stash of them over at the other Gretsch forum but there's always a hardware search at McMaster-Carr as well.

I’d say that one is a worthy replacement for an Electromatic!

Congrats! When I just got my first Gretsch in July, I nearly went with the 6128T-57. Such a beauty!
