Yesterday I bought a new cheap guitar to leave in my workplace office so that I can noodle in my lunch and afternoon breaks. I came across it on Ebay by accident. The Baracuda (interesting spelling) has a mahogany body, rosewood fretboard with an under-saddle bridge Piezo pickup powered by a 9V battery with volume & tone controls. It uses nylon strings. The neck is straight with a relatively chunky profile, and is quite comfortable to play. The guitar is described as a solid-body, but if it really is mahogany it must be chambered because it is quite light in weight. I figured I couldn’t go wrong at AUD$329 (approx USD$250). I won’t be bored at lunch break any more!
