My first Guild, 2020 Oxnard California made D40E, All solid top quality woods, Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides.

I haven’t decided which of my two other Dreadnoughts is getting sold, sticking with my one in one our policy.

I up graded from the plastic pins to bone bridge pins and beveled the ends

I dumped the sucky tuners and put Grover Sta-Tites on.

I conditioned the Rosewood board and bridge. Both are beautiful pieces of Rosewood.

Full C neck carve, 12” radius, 1 11/16” nut. Plays like a dream and sounds great acoustically and thought my Fishman Loud box mini with the on board electronics

The case has a build in humidifier, kinda cool

I have not been able to get along with a Martin D18 neck or 1 3/4” nut.

    I do have a sweet Martin D15M, 12” radius, 1 11/16” nut

Guilds are great bang for the buck. I'd put them up against any comparable Martin or Gibson.
My '68 D-35 is the best acoustic I've ever played. Enjoy yours!

D-40s are great guitars, would definitely be on my short list if I were to go back to a wooden acoustic. Congrats!

Congrats! I really love that dark rosewood fretboard.

Hows that humidifier work? It looks like the cover twists off maybe and then you access the sponge on the inside lid.

Yup, just like that, lid twists off. I already use the sponge type that hangs from the strings, by Music Nomad. The Guild one is even simpler

Very nice Radd! Looks like the action is dialed in nicely. Besides the bone pins, I'm assuming that's not the stock saddle. Colosi?

Wow, great looking guitar. I’ve been on an acoustic buying kick lately, I think it’s because I lost my bandmate (looper broke).

It is the stock bone compensated saddle. I have not had to touch it, bone nut also.

Congrats on the Guild! They're forte has always been the acoustics. Big fan here.

That said, they do on occasion do some crazy things, like burying the battery holder so far into the body you have to remove the strings to get to it. It's ok, you adjust ... and swap out the battery every time you do a string change!

    Where is it on yours?
