It seems like its an “all rounder”. Seems to be good at everything. Especially with the Mystery Brain and some dirt from the Blues Driver.
Great ”wall of sound” noises, nice clean twang, and great articulate choppy chords. I think i can see this being my main player unless im after a single coil sound.

Love the G brand 6120! Are you going to paint a picture of that group?

Congrats! I love my RHH, it was my dream guitar that I never thought I would own. I replaced the neck pickup with a tv Jones tarmond and now I really love it. The neck on these is the best neck I’ve played on any guitar.

Ha! So you werent crazy about the neck pickup either? I think i will be able to get where i want to go with it but its going to take some significant adjustment. Otherwise I will maybe stick one of the new ray butts filters in there.
Im still working with it as it came and getting my ears used to the sound. Its muddier than im used to. I use the bridge pickup about half the time on all my Gretsches so my expectations are pretty much set for how it ought to sound. The bridge pickup sounds spectacular.

    I have a T-armond/Tv classic plus combo in my 5420. It’s awesome!

I woke up and went to the studio at 7 this morning and played it all morning. What an exciting guitar it is.
