I bought this generic Thinline partscaster relic on reverb for a fair price. It has classy top binding, and a great maple capped neck. Not too thin, not too fat. Here’s what it looked like in the listing. Here are the photos I took when it arrived. I’m shimming the neck, adding this GFS Filtertron, and a bigsby. In my search for a chopped B16 I was offered this beautifully relic’d chopped B5 from @Back in Black. Once the Bigsby arrives, I’ll be dropping all the materials off with my man Mark Mattos here in Portland. He’s going to help set it up, cut a new nut, and make a new pickguard using this godawful stuff. No neck pickup, and just one knob for volume. Gonna be a real rat rod. I’ve sold off all my beaters so I wanted another knock-around guitar. I’ve also wanted a tele thinline for some time now. I already have two T-Types with single coils so I figured I’d finally get myself a plank with a Filtertron. We’ll see how the GFS does. If it’s garbage, it’ll be replaced with something better. Stay tuned! Thanx for looking.
