Here's a new lockdown vid track, "Sink". Pounding Precision and resonating Rickenbackers abound.... sorry no Gretsch footage on this one. There might be a Director's cut sometime though.

Social distancing and minumum use of loo paper rules were carefully observed.

Nice! So much to like about this tune...but my favorite parts were: harmony and Rickenbacker.

    Thank you :)

    That means SO much.
I spend AGES on them. Not kidding.
I drummed when I started out and I'm nuts about them kicking ass. Pretty hard with a little DAW setup at home.

    That Rick.

That Rick.. was a surprise engagement present from my wife.

Surprised? I was dumbfounded (she's a classical musician, not schooled in RnR). She said. "I remember you said you really liked them and I wrote it down." Wha!

    Yes we're still happily married.

For you, here's a wee still from the vid shoot.

Funny thing is, I'm not that big a fan of Rickenbackers (unless it's Paul Weller playing :) ). But in this case, it just sounded so good...it had that sparkle and chime that I like.

    Thanks

That tone can only be achieved by carefully looking at my dear old 1969 VoxAC30 (pic above) while in fact using a digital model of an AC30 in the DAW. Works for me, baby. :)

Thank you very much glad you enjoyed hearing a Rick in full flight. They just need a judicious hand and treatment to being out the glory.

    True :D

But now that you've made a good youtube vid of the song how about you do it justice with a wav or mp3 file recording minus video.

I find the sound quality on all youtube videos lo-fi rubbish and the video pictures don't add to my enjoyment of the track. I assume you've got a good wav or mp3 file so plz post it :D
