just found this group just got my first Gretsch G2622T its no classic cheapest one i could find, having fun adding mods, have to admit it played nice right out of box. I have owned several Gibson's guitars and Fender basses over the years but always loved Gretsch but out-priced for vintage ones. Hope to get some good tips and a thumbnail.jpg

Wow, looks like you've got a dynasonic and a real-deal filtertron in that! Sound pretty nice? Gretsch bodies are so well built that they make phenomenal modding platforms.

    Welcome!

Yes inexpensive Wilkinson was supposed to drop in but not true needed to use a dremel to shave off inside slots for it to drop onto existing mount bolts. but once in worked out well!

I used a drill to mod a golden age roller bridge to fit on one of mine. Modding is fun. :-D

sorry not a great photo to tell but PU bridge is a seymore duncan Psyclone like a humbucker/filtertron mix the neck pickup is amazing by Gobojo Mr.2000SB sounds so good, and on my Les Paul special i hate the neck PU. this one makes me want to go to it all the time! also had an accidental wiring issue that im kinda liking the seymore duncan is out of phase with the neck in middle position gives an unusual thin sound ALA peter green. by backing of volume on either pickup gives a very full sound its different depending on what pickup is backed off. not sure if i will rewire or just go with it?

You just have to desolder the leads and reverse them on the pickup that's backwards. I actually did that accidentally on one of my own guitars the other day. It was the first time I'd done it, but thankfully it was an easy fix. :p
