Today, out latest acquisition arrived! This is a 50/50 buy with my Dad. Over Xmas we were looking on ebay and spotted one of the new 6120BSNSH listed... The price was too good to refuse and we pulled the trigger. She arrived safely today and I haven't put her down for the last 3 hours... The Setzer sigs sound a little muddier than the Ray Butts, but it's got that instant Setzer tone when you play it. The bridge pick is sharp and cutting, perfect for the lead breaks. The neck pickup is surprisingly bassy and lacks the sparkle that I'm used to from the Ray Butts. But, the absolute best thing about this guitar is the centre position. Simply put, it's one of the best Gretsch tones I've ever had... So smooth and full, but plenty of the bridge in there to bite when you want it to. Amazing guitar!

    Here she is:

I'll try to do some videos over the weekend. I think 3 hours of Gretsch through a cranked AC30 was just about enough for my Dad's neighbours!

Thanks folks - Very pleased with it :) Now, if only we had some gigs coming up...

Cheers! Guitars are a shared passion for me and my Dad. We've bought a few guitars between us before. I bought him a 6120W57 a few years ago and he recently gave me a 6122 :) There's so many of my guitars at his house and his guitars here... It doesn't really matter who's it is - We gig them all :)

Congrats. It's a lovely guitar for sure, and I'm sure you enjoy playing it, but not too loud. The neighbors, ya know...
