What is it, a Shin Ei? If you're using the Ubangi as an OD then I'd put it before.

Almost w/o fail my fuzzes like to be first in the drive chain proper, usually 2nd in line from the originating signal right after a true bypass tuner or signal routing contraption (although some like a goosing from a clean boost too as long as it's not providing an inhospitable output impedance).

I've been using the Mystery Brain pre-amp as first in line after the tuner, then whatever order the dist/od/fuzz pedals sound best in both singly, and stacked. Then into the delays...

oh yeah, the only thing that should be between that and your guitar is a cord.

How’s it sound in person? I’ve been thinking of picking one of that fuzz series them up. Just haven’t decided which one yet.

Yep, some of fuzz HAVE to be within the very first (1, 2 or 3max) in chain.
I think (by experience) they're getting trebly as hell elsewhere...
