Mostly instrumental, fingerstyle, open-tuning & bottleneck, with a cover of Ben Harper's 'Number Three', which Ben asked me to arrange a couple of years ago. Yes, it's licensed, of course! Plus the lone vocal, my autobiographical The Rhytalin Kid.

    I hope you enjoy it!

    Best,

Hi Howard. The samples sound great. Lovely acoustic recording. May we learn a little about the guitar microphone and processing?

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the tapas tasting!

It really all depends on which track you're referring to, but among others we used: Neumann U-87, Warm Audio, AKG-414's, Shure SM-58, and on and on. I have done 4 of my CD's at Tiki Recording Studio in Glen Cove. My engineer/producer is Fred Guarino, the owner. It's a state of the art facility. My CD's generally have 8 page booklets that detail the technical side of things, and my latest is no different. Maybe I can find a pre-print layout shot of the inside cover......... IMG_7466.JPG

    How's that?

    Best,

That’s great Howard thank you very much. A really lovely sound well done to you and Glen.

I haven’t been inside a pro studio for a few years now, I just have a little study with a PC some software a channel strip and 3 vocal mics from gigging days!
