I made my wife a couple of gluten-free pizzas using King Arthur AP gluten-free flour, they were a mess to work with but she liked them a lot better than the frozen store-bought ones.

Well, the saying is that pizza is like sex. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty good.

This is the recipe I followed for the pan pizza I posted on page 1:

My wife was delighted to have her first deep dish pizza in 14 years and I thought it was pretty good too. Using a stand mixer and spreading it out in a cast iron pan makes for minimal dough handling so it's less of a pain than a lot of GF recipes.

The Italian foreign exchange (high school) student we hosted last year was horrified by 'Merican pizza. In the Lombardy region they evidently prefer to keep things simple, and don't use garlic, spicy sausage, etc. She sure made us some good chow while she was here, though!

  6. More sausage with onion, green pepper, and mushroom ... but we'll always have to limit to two toppings ...
so just cut up your own pepper and onion when ordering out ... Duhh

Does anyone do Italian or French bread pizza? My wife loves them. I tend to prefer Italian bread with just butter garlic and cheese.

Didn't live in ATL very long, but Little 5 Points was an entertaining area for a Sunday afternoon pizza & people watching.

Can make a pizza on Pita bread that's pretty good. With me, when I make a bread pizza, I tend to want to just make a Meatball or Sausage Marinara Sub out of it. End up with peppers, olives, onions and anything else as a topping, Jalapeno peppers are pretty good too.

When I hardcore keto it, I use skinless jalapeno brats and turn them into meatballs slice them put them on a bed of mozzarella and sauce and Canadian bacon and such and more mozzarelle then peel it off the foil and roll it into a yummy chunk.

One thing that I wanted to mention about Stanley Tucci 's show about Naples, when the locals buy something like coffee from a street vendor, if they want two they buy three and say "suspend one", by which they mean they're paying one forward for someone who can't afford it.

Had a Jet's Detroit style deep dish tonight. Highly recommend it! Pricey, but tasty.
