Fender excelsior came in the mail Saturday. Going to pair it with my new nocturne El Pescadoro with a little slapback pedal for an all early roots music rig.

Second, I did some minor-ish mods to my beloved champagne sparkle jet. Put on the better looking and hopefully better performing rocker bar bridge, a string-through callaham bigsby string bar, and finally a reverend soft spring.

If you could let us know how the rocking bar bridge works, I will appreciate it.
We have the gold space control bridge.
Ignoring that the original developed a rattle, on the second replacement, the finish wore off after a few months. When this one starts to rattle, I would like to have some alternative.
We used the Brass Compton on our Black Falcon and loved it, but with having to keep it polished, can be a pain.

Will do. I never experienced any rattle on the space bar but the high e and b string sometimes pops out when I’m doing aggressive chicken-picken’. My gold was wearing off fast too, which I have no problem with.

And, I think it’s butt ugly...

I agree, they are butt ugly, and yes the high E and B do have tendency to come out.
Finger picking is not an issue, but using a hard pick causes frequent problems. Because of that we have relegated the Black Falcon to finger picking duties. It would be nice to use the Black Falcon rockabilly numbers.

The excelsior is cool! I have the same color. Really like the tremolo on it.

As far as I know, they’re stock.

It’s a somewhat rare vox pathfinder stack. 15 watt solid state going through 4x8. It sounds awesome.
