No wonder Ron Wood joined Mick, Keef and the boys later.

Call me basic, but I love Jumpin' Jack Flash. It's just simple British blues. It just kinda does it for me.

I've got more than a few. To actually play, I really like going at Brown Sugar, Midnight Rambler, Can't You Hear Me Knockin', Happy, Country Honk, Honky Tonk Women and Before They Make Me Run. Nice rockers, but I slip in Angie and Wild Horses too when on the acoustic. I play (and my bands played) a few more, such as The Last Time, Monkey Man, Stray Cat Blues, and a few more. To listen to, I've always enjoyed Beast of Burden, Miss You, Black Limousine, anything from Let It Bleed and Exile.
One of the local radio stations has this extended version of Miss You, where the vocals are slightly different. Wish I had a copy of that.

Great songwriting too, great composition. Everyone credits the Beatles for this qualities but things like Sympathy for the Devil is kinda epic. Plus there was always something naughty going on in the lyrics, right from the start

The Stones have too many “best” songs to choose just one.

That being said, “Gimme Shelter” is their best song.

I just heard Get Off My Cloud on the radio earlier today, so I'm spinning the Aftermath album right now. People sort of forget the Brian Jones era stuff sometimes, but this is a really classic album. Just loaded with great songs!

But I'll tell ya what... I never get tired of watching Ronnie do his thing with the Faces. Here's two Ronnies and a Rod (on bass) going slide crazy in 1971:

My OP was a bit too subtle apparently. I was actually talking about the Faces not the Stones, suggesting they played great Rolling Stones style rock.

I think that Ron Wood is a really great guitarist- underrated, for sure. My favorite Stones song is one without him, though; Gimme Shelter- their best song.
