MSG Doctor Doctor
Iron Maiden Doctor Doctor
Johnny Cash Hurt
Nice Minnesota band!
That of course leads to this one:
(I know two Drs. Love.)
I forgot about this song, I remember playing this at cousin's wedding when I was about 8. The family had a polka band, and they always played something for the kids. They put me on top of two beer cases so that I could play the Double Bass. Thanks for the memories!
I remember a couple years back, my daughter, my son and her friends sang this in the children's oncology ward. I thought that they were nuts, until I found our that it was a real song by Dolly Parton. However, it did make the kids, parents and siblings smile.
Oldie but goodie,
I assume the same commercials get reused for different companies in different markets. On the local radio they have three or four jingles in various styles for a vasectomy doctor that air during Winnipeg Jets broadcasts.
“You'd better get a vasectomy, if you want to have sex with me [I do]!”
Did the following commercials run in your market? The first of a funny series of commercials went something like this:
Oh it's you...did you find a job yet? --You're such a disappointment.
Gee Mom, you'll be happy, I just got a job with the best plumbing, heating and servicing company in town.
You got a job with James Wall?!! [shrieking off mic] Hey John!!! Did you hear that, Our Son got a job with James Wall!! ...wait, why would James Wall hire a guy like you?
Mom, Mom, I didn't get a job with James Wall.
You didn't? But you said you got a job with the best plumbing, heating and servicing company in town?
Ok, well, the third best, so sue me!
Don't tell your father, it would kill him."
Black Sabbath - Rock'n'roll doctor
In fact the whole of that album was great
Oh, the 70s!! Lots of good memories
One of the great punk bands from the early 80’s, from one of the schlokiest and cool 80’s zombie films. The Doctor is in the lyrics. (There’s also an awesome rockabilly song on that soundtrack by the Tall Boys).
