The Blues Brothers, indeed...
Yes, Wildeman! Crossroads was the first one that came to my mind. And I still play that duel where the forces of good and evil battle it out on stage - lick for lick, Tele vs Ibanez, and the stakes are as high as they get. A memorable movie for me.
What? No “Drinkenstein”?
Rumble is a fantastic documentary, everyone should watch it.
Welcome to Gretsch-Talk! Nice first post.
I've already submitted a proposal to make the State Board of Education make Rumble required viewing for K-12. Yearly. Maybe bi-annual even.
Walk the Line
That was a great show! Loved the scifi factor.
Got the soundtrack of that one...really want to see the movie...
Don't forget the ghess...
Hey, does anyone ever smack their slow smartphone and yell "C'MON ZIGGY!"?
and the GOAT
A struggling married couple turn their arguments into music and start a band to air out their differences. This demonstrates the therapeutic power of music, in a way. Is the Aid of their Band going to be a cure for their relationship in crisis or just a temporary "Band-Aid"(TM) fix?
Funny appearance by Fred Armisen as their quirky neighbor who helps out on the drums. Maybe he was just playing himself?
How could I have forgotten The Commitments? Great film!
Then, there's "The Boys and Girl From County Clair" all about Irish music.
In the same vein, "Brassed Off!"
The Great Rock and Roll Swindle
A way better movie in my opinion. Real eye opening.
Phantom of the Paradise
