Congrats on the Falcon and ditching the cigarettes...
I smoked for about 25 years and have been off them about 20.

i feel so much better. I used to get bronchitis at least twice a year and now I haven’t had it since I’ve stopped. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Speaking of course about quitting AND buying a Falcon. I’m glad you stopped as well and congrats on 20 years smoke free.

Everyone should own a Falcon before they assume room temperature.

    Congrats on your new guitar.
Assuming that it cost you around USD 3.000 I tried to do my math to find out how many cigaretts you used to smoke during a year. Holy cow!

"According to the National Cancer Institute, the average cost of a pack of cigarettes is $6.28, which means a pack-a-day habit sets you back $188 per month or $2,292 per year."

When I smoked (been quit almost 17 years) I would routinely smoke probably a pack and a half a day so it's not unheard of to spend that much on smokes or at least close enough.

Besides with that kind of motivation I think you can round up pretty easily. If I promised myself a new Horton Heat 6120 if I lost 30 lbs my ass would be posting this from a track or trail right now.

Congrats on quitting the smokes and putting the money to good use.
Will be looking for the pictures, once you've opened the box.

I was smoking Camel Wides and they are (last time I bought a pack) was about $9.00! And I smoked at least a pack a day. So, roughly $3,200 a year on cigs easy.

I don’t know man. Somewhere along the line I got this funny idea in my head that when a guitar arrives from being shipped in freezing temperatures one should wait until the guitar case reaches the same temperature as the room before opening. Whether there’s any credence to that or not I’d much rather be safe than sorry.

It’s difficult to capture the actual color. These pics are a little better. C07980A5-ED3A-4AF4-ACE3-5EDE5DA27536.jpeg 07634F9B-837C-4337-B359-0E95BA452B42.jpeg

That falcon is beautiful! I like when the white is a little aged and not that completely stark white color. Is it just the camera or are those little lacquer cracks in the top? Love the tuneomatic bridge on there as well, I always like to have control over the intonation!

Just FYI: The picture of the headstock and my profile pic are the best representations of the actual color of the guitar. It’s vintage white.
