Thanks, I put my order in for the Lindy Fralin Hum-Cancelling Dogear P90s today. Lindy actually followed up with a phone call to check on something in my order that we had to adjust (he didn't have the original selection component and it turned out I didn't need that one anyhoo - another component was chosen after some pickup/strings measurements). Super cool and friendly guy. We chatted for like 30 minutes. I really appreciated his attention to detail & customer service. Should get the pickups in a couple of weeks, then off to my guitar tech for the pickup installation.

    Phase 2 is complete...

The Lindy Fralin Hum-Canceling P90 Dog-Ear pickups sound awesome. I promise a demo in the very near future. Yes, the pickguard had to be cut to fit around the right-side dog-ears. The pickguard could not cover the right-side dog-ears. I'm actually quite digging the look. I get to see all 4 dog-ears and keep the pickguard. Win/win for me.

Love the look of the P90's on the Rat Rod... and very nice job on the pickguard!

Thanks, Jim! Credit goes to my friend and genius guitar tech, Keirn Hilleary of Lucky Pick Guitars - he always finds a cool solution.

Looks great man! The dogears in particular.

Which wind did you wind up going for on them?

I liked the Lollar dogear I had previously but it definitely struck me more towards the sweet, clean, Jazz side of the spectrum compared to most others I've tried.

I went with the stock wind. I've been so busy today and tonight that I've had little time to actually get to know the new pickups. Love what I'm hearing so far. :)

Is there a way to edit/update the thread title to notify folks about the Rat Rod's new look? I'll post a demo in another thread and refer to this one for the updated look.

Yes, you should be able to edit the title of your own threads. I don’t remember how, only that it wasn’t difficult.

Love the look! I’d still like to see the Rat offered in a rust-colored finish, but yours looks awesome. The peghead decal was a perfect choice!

Scroll to the top and select thread tools, then edit title.

    Rust would be awesome!

Unfortunately, the Thread Tools function is not available to me, probably due to being unable to edit the first post any more. If I recall correctly, you can only edit a certain amount of times in a post or something. The only exception I see is in the opening post in the Buy, Sell or Trade section.

This is exactly what I have experienced as well. Buy, Sell or Trade is editable by the OP without time limits so you can change the title to "SOLD" when it sells.

Helloo, new to this page but I am going crazy trying to figure out the spacing for the bridge, I want to order a Compton or Tru-arc but am not confident enough with my own measurement, could someone please help, this guitar is so good already, I know a few tweaks and it will be everything, thanks.

Welcome to the forum, JOel79! I hope some RatRod owners will chime in soon and offer help with measurements.
