Saw this 5127 at GC and was wondering what the value is?

Check it over closely but if it is OK I'd grab it fast. My G5129 has the same Dynasonic pickups and they haven't put those in the 54XX series that replaced them.
They are some of my favorite pickups of all I own, they really have the Gretsch twang.

I would not trade my 2004 G5129 for a new 54XX, they are that good.

I checked GC to see where that guitar is and it didn't show up.
Searching on G5127 did show one guitar, a 2004, but it is the Peerless version that has the B70 Bigsby instead of the B60 my Samick came with.
I much prefer the Samick with the B60...and the price of that Peerless is $630.

I would grab it if it might fit your needs or collection.
Probably a safe investment, it is likely you could sell it later for more than what you paid.

Every time there is a thread here discussing the G5125-5129 series (with Dynasonics) they get high praise.
Agree 100%. @jfassett Simply put, this is a great guitar and Gretsch's best deal over the years in my opinion. I have an '08 5126 and the DeArmond 2000 (not to be confused with the DA 2K pickups out at around the same time). I would definitely grab it at that price if it passes your tone and quality requirements.

I love this guitar and still seems new to me every time I take it out of the case and since I bought used in 2012 from a member over at the GDP(other Gretsch forum), it sees hours of play weekly. The bridge on mine is upgraded with a Tru-Arc and has the B70 Bigsby.

Value is perception but I play mine considerably more than my proline Black Phoenix.
