This is NOT a hate thread. This pedigreed beast is interesting but at $30,000 it isn't going to show up at my local music store to try. (I also doubt that they would let m try it out  ) upload_2021-10-22_7-22-6.png

I actually thought about using one of those tailpieces on something a while back, but talked myself out of it. Might have to revisit that idea.

Very interesting. No, chances are the corner music store will not have one of these in stock. I look at these sorts of guitars as novelties. They are interesting, but impractical.

The backstory of this guitar’s creation is fascinating. Nice Spruce is always appreciated.

I love the finish. They've been on the Eastman Guitars website looking for inspiration.

    Interesting guitar.

I absolutely love that thing. I have no hope that I'll ever own one (assuming they even make more), but dang it's gorgeous.

Very cool. Thou I liked the white pigeon more, coming out from their custom shop.

It needs no fret markers, just side dots, and an ebony arm guard. And replace all gold hardware and electronics with matte black. Now we're talking.

After reading that, you're probably all asking yourselves why they don't just request my input up front, so they can know they're doing it right. And that's a great question. But I just don't have an answer. It makes no more sense to me than it does to you.

Synchro, thanks for your comment; novelty and interesting I understand, but I'm wondering though, in what sense do you mean "impractical"? Commercial viability, or design flaw, or...?

If I would own this treasure I guarantee you that a roadie would make a big dent on it`s backside with his belt-buckle before the first concert even started.
Then our singer would step on my cable and the input jack would be torn off.
After returning from the show I will recognize that I took an empty guitar-case back home because some kid has stolen the guitar.
A vew years later I will find it in eBay classifieds. Someone has painted it red and sprayed some black and white stripes all over it with a rattle can...

  18. Pocket change for Gomez!

The creatures these are made from, the elusive Stradavari,
have been decimated & are now extinct, Much like Unicorns before them.

We know of them from legend & song as the “one-eyed, one-horned purple people eaters.”

Thought I should watch the video before I trigger this post.
Lo & behold. The video substantiates my claim!

Nevertheless, it does look like someone sat on half-baked violin, somehow.

  19. As an exercise, its interesting.

Its an ad campaign. To try & change how anyone sees Fender guitars in their mind’s eye. That may be cynical. I don’t think it is, to recognize it as such. While it is a curiosity—it doesn’t change the guitars you see in stores. How about we call this an Acoustasonic?
