@hcsterg, that Supro looks pretty cool. I'd go for that!

I was going to guess Aviator Cub, but that depends on if you think of the VOL dial as a master volume or not (as it is separate from the GAIN knob.)

Well, I never tested the Tremo-Verb, which looks interesting, but only the Jupiter and the Saturn, that were not so amazing : dark sounding, atonal metallic reverb... o_O

Conversely, I bought their little 5-Watter brother, the SUPRO Reverb 1964 1605R. At first, judging by the test I made on the Jupiter and Saturn, I rather was suspicious, but the 1605R proved to be a good sounding amp, omitting the drawbacks of their grand-brothers, but still able of that vintage dirtyness.

I didn't mentioned it because it is fitted with a master volume, and the power is only 5W...

That's why I think that the "intermediary" Tremo-Verb is certainly interesting... ;)

    A+!

Yes - we (I) didn't asked if it was a SolidState or Tube amp...

    A+!

Only 1 voice but perhaps different accents.

I love finding out about new amp builders! Never heard of Big Crunch but now I've got some listening to do.

    Close, though in a way.

The Tremo-Verb was one of the final 3. And before I pulled the trigger on the one I selected, I did hover on this amp. As a matter of fact, if for any reason the one I chose doesn't make my heart flutter, I'll sell it and likely get the Tremo-Verb.

I did play one of those at a music store in Iowa City. It's a cool amp but wasn't the one.

It is tube. I had to sell my Quilter MicroPro to help fund the new one. And doing so caused a fair amount of stress but I decided to gamble.

That does look like a great amp and a great guess based on one of the clues.

I did pay close attention to the 1605R at the beginning of my search. I really like the Supro sound! And the 1605R ticked a couple of boxes in the beginning but ultimately, I wanted more wattage. If the amp fairy hears my prayers though, I'd like this as a second amp.

    Today's clue ...

    The Bishop sits here.

(and yes, I'm getting more obtuse)

My very last guess: Carr Skylark. And only because I'm totally mystified. (Though guessing is kind of fun...)

    Hmm…Hi/lo inputs or amp voicings?

Female bush pilot. Something avionics but it’s not a Quilter Aviator. A Fender DLX Custom 68 too heavy at 40lbs. Benson is too expensive at 1800. Bishop seat? A throne, a ministry, a chess position(C1, F8 etc). I give up…

Now I've got Benson on my mind, almost unfathomably beautiful tone. Are you sure it's not the Benson Earhart?

What about a Victoria? Cherry Bomb or Vicky-Verb?

    Gotta be the Vicky-Verb, right?

    Three for a girl. A girl's name.

A vicar can hold a bishop's seat, perhaps?

    I'm grabbing at straws here.

That is also a cool amp. But no, it's not a Carr.
