You say that as if it's a bad thing? The spirit of Warren Zevon would probably cause the HOF to explode and fall into a river of alcohol and misanthropy.
I get what your saying Jim , but it doesn't seen that " it must be " rock and roll ( music or artist )It shouldn't be called the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame
I agree.Willie Nelson
Iron Maiden
My exact question.Willie Nelson played rock'n roll?![]()
If ever I get back to the desert, I'll look you up!My exact question.
The shed in my back yard is the official “Rawk & Role Howl of Faim“, and you can visit, any time you want, so long as I’m home to let you in. There are no exhibits, no gold records or autographed guitars; just a bunch of junk I don’t keep in the house, but it is every bit as legitimate as that joke without a punch line, in Cleveland.
If ever I get back to the desert, I'll look you up!
I like Kate Bush getting in and sure had Peter Gabriel and David Gilmour on her side!Don't really care who gets in, but from that list my favorite music is/was from Warren Zevon, Kate Bush and Sheryl Crow.....and of those three...Kate is far and away the most creative.
He didn’t get by on his looks; that’s for sure.Say what you will, but Tiny Tim was a virtual encyclopedia of early 20th century (jazz age and pre-jazz age) music.
I'd go so far as to say he knew a heck of a lot more about American musicology than any R&R HOF Board members ever dreamed of.
Iron Maiden, not one of my favorites, did put on good shows and their music is still played around here anyway. If I had to pick only one - Soundgarden elevated the "grunge" movement of the '90s with superior musicianship and Superunknown is arguably the best album of the sub-genre.
I get what your saying Jim , but it doesn't seen that " it must be " rock and roll ( music or artist )
