Czar, shoot I'm the Emperor of Wyoming.

    The words tell it all.

It's about what's in your head. Just play.

What 'record companies'? There's zero money in recorded music anymore. Big companies like Warner and Sony do promote artists but they are always on the lookout for new creative artists such as you mention.

Remember when we used to go to the store. The top 10 Singles, Albums lined up. Looking at the covers.

Waiting on the yearly release of your fav band. Then the tour

Over saturation & knowing everything about the artist on daily basis has removed the mystique the larger than life..(good or bad) personalities that grew by word of mouth & radio play..vs the video that made us see music & not conjure up our personal story ... them headphones on at night

lifting a needle on a record..tapes..we touched.. now we click..its 01010101 sterile as anything else n..conform it all down a funnel into 1 type pop sound..now without actual playing of instruments....

guilty of it myself..record a full song a week. Now days people listen to 30 seconds of a song & bail

also i liked the 70's..a rock song..folk..R&B, soul sorta all blended into together

Those of us that got to experience the FM radio boom..we had it good

The only rock accordion players I can think of are Judy Tenuta and Weird Al. I'd give them a pass. Bernie Leadon and Otis Taylor did some pretty good tunes on banjoes. Steve Earle pulled off rock with bagpipes.

I'd ban big band rock like Les and Larry Elgart did years ago and marching band attempts at rock as well. I told our uni's marching band director that I wouldn't play Sousa on an electric guitar, and the band shouldn't try to do rock. He said that it was impossible to get an electric guitar in a marching band. A Pignose and a Tele are eminently portable.

Kill streaming by requiring random replacement of bars of whatever someone's trying to stream w/ bits from Rick Astley, GG Allin, Barney, & the soundtrack to Frozen every 15-45 seconds.

Djs must pay $20 per song played to the recording artist and be licensed to "perform" in public and private.

Artists must receive at least 50% of the profits for any recording they create.

I was going to say my one and only rule would be to ban complaining about rap or hip hop. I get it. I don't particularly like it either (and it was the music of my teens and 20s). I also don't like Irish folk music, but I don't whinge about it every chance I get.

If I must establish a rule it would be the artist always receives more money for every sold record than everyone else involved, be it record company, manager whatever.

Yep, and anyone who gets it knows it is not always just about the music.
