I don't know what Gretsch + Rickenbacker + Hofner = , But I have my doubts that they equal a Gretsch Double Jet copy, named after a vintage automobile.
You can have your Duesen-Gretsch, I'll take Gretsch, Rickenbacker, Hofner...any day of the week, by a mile.

Not my opinion as such ... was pure guess more like.
Does not matter at all, as I will not gonna use 3000euros for any guitar. In real I tend to purchase guitars between 500euros and 1000euros. That price range will offer quality - price ratio which I'm able to accept. If my salary/livelihood would come from music, then maybe...
But dreaming is fun ...

Duesenberg's line reminds me very much of Harley Benton Guitars.
Instead of putting their efforts into something original, that they can really call ''their own'' they make near copies of brands such as Gretsch, Gibson, Rickenbacker...and a couple of others.
For that kind of money, you can buy the genuine brand, not a facsimile.
Further, Like Harley Benton, Duesenberg is European based, but that's no guarantee the base of manufacture is in Europe. They have that ''over-glossed'' MIC look. Not that there's anything wrong with MIC, a few of my regular players are MIC, including two Gretsch models, but neither of them were 3000 Euros.
If you look at Duesenberg's web site, see attached, they show what I would refer to as a ''kit guitar''. I'm inclined to think, this is what Duesenberg Europe receives from ''Offshore'', and they assemble and finish the guitars in Europe. This is pretty much the same thing US based Phantom Guitars does.

They're expensive and gimmicky.
That said, I may try my hand at building my own one day.
That is the price range I normally spend for guitars also.
That buys the Streamliners and Electromatics. Fender Player series, G&L Tributes, high-end Epiphones, Yamahas, mid-range Ibanez, etc. I even got two new US-made Gibson Tributes (LP and SG) on sale for less than $1K.
Right now the US dollar buys .98 euro. I don't think I've ever noticed $ that valuable before.
Edit: for some reason I had the impression that the euro was always worth much more than the dollar but checking the history shows a dollar has bought between .80 and the .98 is close to a high.

I have not own any Harley Benton guitars but I know the brand is in sale here in Europe (Thomann Germany). Probably one of their own brands/labels? And those guitars are very inexpensive. For example

Shortly saying Harley Benton guitars are clearly cheaper than for example Vintage brand guitars (Wilkinson stuff), or any mid range Squier models. Not to talking about top level Squiers. But I have not played any HB, so I do not know how good they are.
Opposite I actually have one Dusenberg ... the tremolo here is produced by Dusenberg.
It cost me 100euros. And the roller bride (Schaller) was not included, just tremolo and few bolts.

Yes. US dollar is strong against Euro right now. US dollar seems to be strong against UK's pounds (£) as well. I have not followed how the same is with Japan's jeni.
I do not go to reasons as politics are not allowed here. The reasons are still pretty obvious if following news.

As much as I never payed attention to Duesenberg, I don’t think they have something in common with Harley Benton. HB are the home brand of Thomann DE, and frankly they’re Squier level instruments. The difference between a Streamliner and a HB 335-like is obvious, as well as the sound.
For 3000 (dollars or euros) you could buy 30 Harley Bentons, I don’t think they have nothing in common with Duesenberg.
Maybe it’s true that Duesenberg have his body supply from China, but again don’t forget that there’s different levels of production in China as well.

Yeah, Harley Benton is the Thomann house brand.
If anything, I think Duesenberg has more in common with Reverend in the US. Me? I've played a few and they're pretty good, but I don't like the look or feel of them.

I agree that Dusenberg make high level guitars with prices to match even if their supply model is a little opaque The results are not entry level guitars by any measure. A mate had one for sale which I tried out. Nice guitar but neck heavy so not for me but the finish and was outstanding and the build quality exceptional. Even the case had about 10 latches on it !!
If I had €3000 to spend on a guitar I would buy the Gibson LP Custom shop 1960 VOS in Iced Tea Burst I was offered yesterday. A bargain for sure but still more cash than I have to spend an (yet) another guitar. What I really need is a Peerless Casino and they aren’t in that price range.
