I bought the G2215 p-90 but I need a case. I use this guitar outside so I’d like something small but I need more protection than a gig bag and also don’t want to spend mor on the case than the guitar. It’s the size of a flat top jet
    Any ideas or recommendations?

    Congrats Nick!
Tell us more (sound, playability)...looks very cool.

I guess the Gretsch G6238FT should fit?

I saw it but it’s $150 which is almost half what the guitar cost

MF has a 25% discount on many cases right now. Type "JOY" in the box and get the discount off the prices shown. I just got a nice bass case for $75.
But I have no idea which case would fit your guitar.

Edit: and I have a number of Musician's Gear cases and am not disappointed in any of them. They're better than the low price indicates.

A dreadnought case will hold you in good stead until you can obtain the perfect case.

I am not sure of your desired price range.

I ordered a "used" one from Prostar Audio for $129 that included shipping. They are sellers on eBay. It came shipped in a couple of days, with all tags, plastic bag, and in the original sealed Gretsch box. Honestly, I saw nothing used about it, but not sure if this exceeded your budget.
Good Luck my friend, and yes if this is going outside, I agree with you, get the hard case protection.

I don't know what they cost in the US but in terms of protecting your guitar, I don't think you can beat Hiscox cases. If you send them details of your instrument they're good at suggesting a case that really fits.

HOW MANY TIME MUST I REPEAT MYSELF !! AAGGGGGG ! :p
Look at Glarry Guitars , there a step up from cardboard and yes there delivered in a bubble wrap envelope . I've sold the guitar so I'm not sure if there's a lock on the case . But there inexpensive . The Glarry case is the case in the middle of the 3 guitars .

My fault, I thought that we were helping find a Gretsch case.

I agree that the Glarry cases are a tremendous value. We have five: Strat Case, two tenor banjo cases, ST flat top case, and a dreadnought case. We use these for gigging. They are plain, but well-built, it makes people believe that the guitar is cheap because the case is so plain.

Thanks that’s a great idea. I’ll just have to see which one will fit the guitar.

Well I would be panicking hard if that "envelope" came off a lorry for me.

But oh how good the relief, in seeing it had a good hard case inside, would be!

Those Glarry thermometer cases look cool.Better then a gig bag, lighter then a g and g case.

That Tele case looks really nice! I have an old school squared style for mine, but now you've got me thinking...

BTW--how do you like that Tele? Still love mine, I just wish it didn't weigh so much.

    Nick,

When I bought my MY project Jet this past June, I also bought this Gretsch Monogrammed Jet case, I believe I paid $125 CDN, that should be under $100. USD, plus it's a Gretsch case, and fits the guitar properly.

Of all my guitars...large number...almost embarrassing...this little Rickenbacker 900 is my favorite, it's alarmingly pristine, it's been cased since new...1957.

The right case is as important as the right guitar.

Look at a case as ''value'' to the protection of the guitar...and not the ''cost'' of case.
