Here's one that grinds my gears for some reason:

My wife never takes stuff like this or labels off anything.
You got any idea how much bacon you gotta fry to wear the label off a new frying pan?

I suspect its mostly because it annoys me.

I don’t have one but can see why they leave it in. I probably would also. At least for a little while.

Yeah, I mean what’s the deal with stickers on guitars anyway?

You've seen how some airlines (mis)handle baggage. This is just insurance.

My wife doesn't do the same thing, either. Once those stickers get hardened, they'll never come off. Try removing a bumper sticker from a painted bumper on a car.

"I'll paint any car for $99.99!"
    And it'll look like it.

That's OK, I got revenge for you. I bought this beautiful Anni from DrumBob and peeled off the pinup as soon as I got it... they're really not my thang.

There's a blast from the past! Here's what I remember, "I'm Earl Scheib, and I'll paint any car, any color for $29.95."

They weren’t real exacting about masking off. They did do the windshield however.

Not sure they removed clearcoat (?) or even washed the cars first @29.95, hence the painted chrome bumper.

2 yrs later, on a hot day the paintjob would fall off & you could not find your car in the lot because it had reverted to its unpainted form.

You went top dollar for the premium version at $99!!!

That meant your windscreen & driver’s side window BOTH got masked. And they took the butcher paper off afterward.

An upper-cruster. o_O You didn’t get the housepaint variety.
You may have paid extra to get that bumper painted! :)

When I was a teenager, a guy in my neighborhood painted an old late '60s Chevy slowback sedan with house paint---and a brush. Class act, there. My uncle ran a body shop. I made some extra cash masking cars for him on occasion. He loved the first snow of the year---got enough business to keep active all winter.
