Great old show! Can't even count how many times I've watched it over the years.

I still use the penny-farthing image from the closing credits as my avatar on a few forums I belong to. Yeah, that's what it's called: a penny-farthing.

Welcome to the forum, Number 6!
The name comes from the size of the British coins. Oddly, the penny is the large one. I was stationed there when they transitioned to decimal coins from the old Lsd system.

Maybe it is only because I am very slow, and or just missing what are obviously references to a show I haven't seen, but I only just figured out the answer (and what you're talking about). And in case anybody ELSE needs an explanation -- you got a "6" in your avatar because it's the first character of your name. I haven't chosen a picture yet either so I still have an "S".

Now, feel free to let me know that you've known this all along.

Oh, and welcome!
