    ...After it was stolen.

    This story reminds me of Randy Bachman's 45 year separation from his beloved, Gretsch '57 G6120.

    Wow! Excellent read. Really cool how that all turned out. To receive a replacement guitar valued today at $70,000 is unbelievable.
    Now I’m inspired to purchase the Jimmy Page: The Anthology book.

    Great story .
    I wonder if Gibson ever reproduced the guitar with 3 toggles / 3 pick ups . That's some combination . Any idea of that @ZackyDog ?

    They did. This version---withe the Bigsby and extension bar---has a lot of hardware, for a small guitar.

    @ZackyDog .. is this more to what the story was referring too regarding the toggle switches ? ( lousy photo ) The poker chip in your photo seems to refer to multi phase also . Just curious :)

    @thunder58

    This is, learn-as-you-go for me.

    Now I see three (3) different Les Pauls above(!) Yikes.

    I am guessing that Gibson made one (1), 6-position toggle switch, in lieu of the three (3) toggle switches?

    ( not to take away anything from your post / thread )
    I guess thats where I was confused in the story and then looking at the photo(s) . The story led me to believe that there were 3 separate switches and 2 were plugged up and painted over . All in all a very cool Les Paul . You original photo reminds me of the Les Paul Frampton had on his " Frampton Comes Alive " album ....( 3 pick up ) ........ hey , doesn't Frampton's guitar have a similar story of being stolen ?
