Ya might find yourself selling off some other items to fund the next step in your new journey..ha
Welcome. Here's hoping you enjoy the new Gretsch. Its a beauty.
Thanks for your message. I've got a Boss Katana Mini amp that I'm using for practice.
Come On You Gunners! ;-)
Thanks a bunch for your suggestion. I'm using a Boss Katana Mini amp but the one you mentioned sounds great.
Thanks for sharing your story. It's exciting to look online and see instruction for songs I enjoy.
Nice guit! Congratulations
Welcome. Watch out- I was 55 when I got hooked, and now I'm obsessed ( my girlfriend says)
Welcome Bendem. You've picked a great guitar.... I have the same one in casino gold. The best advice I can give you is what you and others have already mentioned...learn to play songs you love!!! Break them down into there simplest form first, and go from there.
No one was born with the ability to play guitar...we all had to learn from scratch.
Good luck in your journey.
That's a great guitar to start out with...really sharp! I'm not a particularly good guitarist, but I've "tinkered" for a lot of years, and am certainly a "gear head"....I think if you weren't a guitarist before, that Gretsch of yours will certainly turn you into one, as you're going to love playing it!
Welcome to the forum, fantastic guitar you have there, justin guitar has a lot of really good lessons amd songs to learn so you'll be stage ready in no time.
Welcome! I think you fell in with some pretty friendly hooligans. Nice git fiddle!
Nice looking guitar, but then it's a Gretsch so of course it looks nice
I am 54 and just did the exact same thing! The main exception is I never played guitar before. With COVID I am picking up new hobbies to take advantage of the down time! I am also using Justin Guitar!!
I love Neil Finn. Fantastic songwriter and a very underated guitarist. Neil has a fleet of Firebird Red Jets. I actually bought mine because of seeing him with his.
Enjoy that guitar of yours, it looks awesome!
Welcome to the forum - Nice Gretsch !
I spent 6 years in Richmond back in the day. Life in the Fan and VCU. Good times and good memories. Used to live right there on Monument Ave, just west of Stonewall Jackson, which ... I assume is gone now?
I'd love to get back there for a visit. It's been a really long time!
Welcome to the Madness! And congratulations on a fine guitar.
If you like Jets, you're in excellent company!
At 50 you're still young, and have every chance of becoming a ''Rock God''
You don't stop playing because you get old...you get old because you stop playing!
