Welcome aboard... Nice guitars... Just curious, which Streamliner model did you have that you didn't like?
I can’t remember for sure but I think it was the 2622t. It stayed in tune beautifully and played really well but I never could get anywhere with the broadtrons. This was probably 6-7 years ago. If I was more handy with soldering and wiring, a pickup swap would’ve been all it needed honestly. I sold it and started saving for the rat rod and then gretsch fever took over from there. 😊

I have a 2622 without the Bigsby... it's one of my favorite... I even like the Broadtrons.. but I don't think it sounds particularly Gretschie... but I still like it... Thanks for the reply... and again welcome..

To be fair, I had no idea what I was looking for or what I even expected. It was my first Gretsch and I think if I had it back now, I’d appreciate it more. Honestly stayed in tune and played like butter though.

New poster. I’ve been on this site a lot looking for info. Got into the gretsch world maybe 5-6 years ago. Traded something I can’t even remember for a streamliner. Loved everything about it but the way it sounded. Sold it and some other things, bought a 5410t rat rod and later on bought and a 5657t, and a 5232t. Can’t really get excited about anything but Gretsch now. My other guitars don’t get much playing time. 😁.
This is a fantastic site for help and resources. Glad to be a part of it.
Welcome Justin,

Welcome friend . We're glad you part of it too :)
I was going to say that EXACT SAME thing! "Welcome friend" --- I hope you can't read my mind!! I have to many things that I don't want anyone to know.
Welcome mate, Gretsch guitars are like chills to John Travolta, they're multiplying! 🙄😄🙄
I just saw that movie Sunday night. WOW! It seems as though we're all connected some how.
Just got this today. G422tg to add to the collection. View attachment 204754
That double cut away Electromatic is the closest thing to a White Falcon double cut away that you'll ever see. All you need to do is put a mud switch in it, and some stereo wiring with two on off switches and two mutes, and a standby switch, and ice cream shop, a hardware store.......😝
😉
