Thank you everyone for the warm welcome!
I am coming back to playing guitar after an extended break due to nerve damage in my left arm, work and family commitments. Over this time I thinned the herd of guitar gear I had, and will probably get rid of the 90s squier soon too.
I am down to one amp (a champ clone) and no pedals. I will be rebuilding my sound around the G&L Legacy (HSS), the champ clone and the Gretsch. Due to this I may not have the time or money to do the mods to the guitar for at least a few months.

Welcome to GT b_hoves. Great looking Gretsch you have there. It's always a good idea imo to wait a bit before modding as you may find as time goes by, what is stock may grow on you assuming there's not a problem with function of course.
