A Leslie, b3, two svt 8x10s and svt heads two 2x15 showman cabs almost every night for months at a time. Plus all the other stuff. Thank God for Union stage hands Lift gates & loading docs and roadcases on wheels. I don't think I would have survived otherwise. And yes now I see a chiropractor regularly.

40+ years working on stages doing this stuff daily and I agree with you. Played a B-3 for years as well. I was on a first name basis with my chiropractor. (I wonder how many horses I bought him.)
Heaviest stage gear was dimmer racks and cable bins. 8 circuit Socopex lighting cable is over a pound per foot. Fully loaded lighting trusses can be weighty as well. Large scenery pieces are another issue.

I NEVER envied lighting crews
Try lugging a Strong Super Trooper or a Gladiator up stairways. 35mm projectors aren't much fun, either. The power supplies are even worse. We had an early vodeo projector, a Talaria, that weighed 800 pounds. Couldn't get enough people around it to easily lift it, much less carry it up a narrow staircase. Did it anyhow.

600 pound Gamble soundboards aren't a thing of joy when you've got to lift them as well. Thankfully solid state amp racks weigh less than tube type MacIntosh racks of the same power.

Old 3 lens 5K data projectors in collapsible road cases weren't much fun either.
2 stages will always stick in my mind.
THE Apollo in Glasgow. Had to hoist everything from the floor 7 to 8 feet in the air onto the stage. And the Cavern in Liverpool. Tiny little staircase straight down. Had to leave all the roadcases upstairs. Young man's game.

My kids were taking part to opera production when they were small. They operated a lot on volunteer basis. But they had some real talent always in main roles from San Fransisco opera.

I helped in the load in and load out always. The task I strangely enjoyed the most was setting up the lights. They lowered these long bars from the ceiling down to waist level. Then you got a 'map' for your bar. The map showed at which spot on the bar you needed to connect which type of light and which color it needed to be. You had to find the right light amongst couple hundred that had been spread on the stage. Then you needed to put the right color filter in front of it.

Some poor soul had programmed each light to turn on at the right time through out the whole show. Quite impressive actually.

The only draw back was that I then needed to watch the show at least once. I can't stand opera :).
