It’s like one of those guitars that comes with the guitar hero game
There must be some technical reason for Gretsch to switch from B6 to B7 on all their Pro Models. I mean, the only B6 left are on some classic reissues or Setzers. Every new model has B7 or B5 (which is basically the same concept). There should be something we don’t know.
Because they think people don’t want elevated fret boards so the tension bar lets them lower the fret board.
If it wasn't Gibson-ified w/ the neck height & B7 I would be all over that one...
Hmmm. i don't think im a fan which is a shame because i wanted to like it.
I think ot has potential though, i actually like the size of the head stock more to the penguin ones, it seems more proportional to the body which is what i wish gretsch did with the penguins, an extra pick up, a caddy tail and bigger f holes would work.
How about calling it the Chicken Hawk?
Well, they already did a Les Paul Special, albeit a lot cheaper and more in keeping with the original. So I reckon it was just a matter of time.
I kinda like it, and I usually don’t like white guitars or guitars without neck pickups. I don’t care what they call it.
I'm not sure how that could be called a White Falcon. Seems like it is its own thing.
All that body minimization with only 1 pickup and there still only 22 frets? BAH. STOP BEING COWARDS AND MAKE A GRETSCH WITH 24 FRETS!
I always enjoy seeing evidence of offbeat thinking put into custom/signature guitars. That's not a standard Falcon/Penguin headstock. It appears to be modeled after the John Entwistle '61 Falcon fake/conversion:
I like it. Not in my wheelhouse, but it's different, classy, and IMO, single bridge pickup guitars definitely have their place in this world.
My fav! (And the guitar looks good too.)
Agreed the proto that BD has does not look all that Falcon-ish. The recent interview he did with Tone-Talk goes into it a little bit but it will be interesting to see its final outcome.
It's a 5655T painted white!
Was thinking just that!
However, I see that as very good thing
I'm getting a Godin vibe from it for some reason.
Kinda like it too, but I definitely would miss a neck pickup.
