Thanks man! Anything to help a brother out ;)

That's actually my first Jazzmaster (& 3rd guitar I acquired). It's a mostly intact '63 that had its body stripped & lightly lacquered (as well as having a few of the pots & switches replaced) before I got it back in '94.

@Groutsch i never played or even saw one of those Historic cats eyes in the flesh. What are they like? Are they centerblock? Lightweight? I just have never come across one to try out. Great looking trio.

@Gibbsy you are going to have to keep those two separated at night, or else mr Gretsch is going to have to wear his rubber Bigsby tip protector. Otherwise you’re going to be overrun with ukuleles before you know it. Give my love to London, I was supposed to be coming home for a visit this month before the world went pear-shaped.

I build all my own stuff when I am not traveling. Took me 9 months to finish it about 3 years ago now.

Yes, there's definitely some Finkyness round here! Note the Roth Studios Plymouth decal;). And to the left of the strataclysm... 1590806756521890917837.jpg

Some of the Historic Series guitars are semihollow, but mine are hollow, and about 1/4" deeper than the 5129 next to them, and a bit heavier as well. (G5129: 6-3/4 lbs.; G3150: 7-1/4 lbs.; G3155: 7-3/4 lbs.)

It's a great tweedy type combo IMO w/ a very nice tube trem & a spacey spring verb. It's about 18w-20w w/ 2 6V6s (can run 6L6GC for ~25w IIRC), probably a bit lower w/ the 5Y3GT rectifier I've got in it for extra sag/juicy-ness.

    Boom!
Thanks for going to the trouble of setting up these groupings after a busy day of work...... though i think you kind of enjoyed doing it.

I love black guitars and i miss my 6128 and my penguin.
