Yeah the link didn't work for me either, I'm more just going off the quote that he got an electromatic pro jet painted white, added TV Jones filtertrons and a bigsby, so I'm guessing that's the one in question.

The blog post was in 2010 so any model earlier I guess? doesn't explain the 2 F holes though?

Could it be something like a modded Rambler?

That link brought to mind Dylan’s »Ballad of a Thin Man«: "...you know something is happening here, but you don’t know what it is, do you, Mr. Jones..."

I was almost certain that's what it is at first glance, but it's not. It's got to be some kind of modern Electromatic Jet that's been highly modified. Cutting f-holes into a solidbody is not something you see every day.

I think they are painted. That would be very Gretsch-y, wouldn't it?

It'd be helpful to see a close up of the headstock. A shot of the label'd be nice as well.

You could be right. I really can't tell conclusively. But if painted, not painted by Gretsch.

He added those, they are decals or painted on (can't remember). I have read about this guitar before but it was a while ago. Screenshot_2021-12-01-10-54-28-1.png
It even looks like he had to cut the neck pickup bezel like i did, its tight against the fretboard.

It doesn't have to be done by Gretsch to be Gretschy. Who ever did this, it was done in the spirit of Gretsch.
