Gretsch 5120 in cherry red??

    Hey , I found this pic on flickr , and he proves to has an cherry red 5120 but as far i can see they don't paint them in this color?

    Hi Sam,
    they aren't in the catalogue anymore and as far as I can tell, none of them made it to Europe.

    Check out member FJR's shots of Kim Falcon posing with his cherry red 5120 "Lucky Daisy" - lots of eye candy going on there.

    If I remember right, it was an exclusive color to Guitar Center and Musisian's Friend.

    I had been told it was a 2008-only color, part of the 125th Anniversary thing (it had the 125th Anniversary sticker on the back of the headstock).

    you'll find 5120 min deep cherry at GC and musicians friend. they're still out there i have one. check my posts...

    Beware!
    The color is officially "Deep Cherry Stain", as rosemary alluded to. It looks bright red in direct, bright sunlight, but appears much, MUCH darker in lower-levels of light, as you see here:

    and almost black, as here (5120 on the left, compared to Tennessee Rose on the right):
