Hi Craig welcome to the forum.
Congrats on the 5420T and the fine wife. I'm sure you will be enjoying the guitar.

Don't worry about your "skill level". That's gonna do nothing but get better now that you own a Gretsch!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the guitar.

Welcome, Craig, from a fellow Pennsylvanian! (Lehigh Valley...) Congrats on your (1) choice for a wife and (2) new guitar.

Per Thunder58's comment, the Martin factory tour is a fascinating and fun time and a chance to meet and bond with fellow addicts!

    Welcome Craig.

Don't buy into that 'I'm a beginner therefore I can't have a decent guitar' myth. A quality guitar plays, feels and sounds that much better. You'll enjoy it far more and progress that much quicker. In no time you'll be looking at other Gretsch's to expand your range. Maybe eyeing up a Proline ....

... either way, you're hooked so lay back, strum along and enjoy the ride.

Dang it! All of this Pennsyltucky talk has me jonesing for a Primanti Bros sandwich. It's been about 7.5 years since I was back there.

Welcome form a current (and lifelong) western Pa resident!
But -- I prefer Philly cheese steak over Primanti's--it's the wrong cole slaw-- in my opinion.
